Judge Chhabria vacated the July 16 hearing on Kadrey’s motion to certify for interlocutory appeal his ruling on Meta’s downloading of copies of books, which the judge treated as for the purpose to train Meta’s AI models. The court order says: “The Court will issue a written ruling based on the motion and responsive briefs.”
