In a suit nearly identical to the just filedWinspear v. Meta, 57 book authors, including lead plaintiff Daniel Jose Older, filed suit against Meta today, alleging the same theories of copyright liability. Both Winspear and Older will likely be assigned to Judge Chhabria, who presides over all the book authors and publisher cases against Meta.
This copyright suit is No. 150 filed against AI companies in the United States. A historic moment.
