Google hit with 2d AI copyright suit in 2 days. Publishers sue Google for the 1st time for alleged infringement in its AI model Gemini

The AI Copyright Wars are escalating. Google was just hit with its 2d copyright lawsuit in 2 days.

Hachette Book Group, Cengage Learning, Elsevier, the book author Scott Turow, and S.C.R.I.B.E filed a class action copyright suit in the Southern District of New York.

It’s similar to the suit they filed against Meta and Mark Zuckerberg.

This is the 8th lawsuit against Google, 2 of which have been consolidated in In re Google Generative AI Litigation.
