The last part of the Kadrey v. Meta case related to the alleged distribution of copies of works while Meta torrented from shadow libraries appears to be gaining new life.
Kadrey is asking Judge Chhabria leave to file a Fourth Amended Complaint to add (1) new details related to the torrenting by Meta, (2) a contributory infringement claim, and (3) the loan-out companies for Plaintiffs Silverman, Golden, and Coates that were already subject to discovery by Meta. (Loan out companies are often used by artists and actors for better tax treatment on income.)
Concurrently, the parties have agreed to a proposed 10-week extension to the current schedule.
