Anthropic cites Judge Chhabria’s relating new lawsuits filed v. Meta by Chicken Soup for the Soul, Carreyrou, Cognella to Kadrey v. Meta.

Anthropic has cited Judge Chhabria’s decision to relate the recently filed lawsuits v. Meta by Chicken Soup for the Soul, Cambronne, and Cognella, respectively.

Anthropic has asked Judge Martínez-Olguín, who was assigned Bartz v. Anthropic following Judge Alsup’s retirement,  to relate the recently filed lawsuits v. Anthropic by Chicken Soup for the Soul, Cambronne (aka John Carreyrou), and Cognella, respectively.

When Anthropic initially indicated it would seek to relate the Carreyrou lawsuit, Judge Martínez-Olguín expressed some doubt. But Judge Chhabria’s decision does provide some precedent to treating the 3 lawsuits filed by book authors and a publisher as related to Bartz v. Anthropic.
