On April 29, 2026, Udio aka Uncharted Labs filed its Answer to Sony Music Entertainment’s First Amended Complaint.
Noteworthy is Udio’s admission (long assumed) that it used the music files from YouTube videos to train its AI models:
Although this admission received media attention, it was not surprising.
Udio is filing its Answer now after Judge Hellerstein rejected its motion to dismiss.
