Concord Music is copying the winning strategy of the book authors, who secured a $1.5 billion class action settlement with Anthropic.
With new law firm WilmerHale at the helm in their defense, Anthropic filed a blistering opposition. Remember that Anthropic enlisted 2 new law firms to lead their defenses in the respective cases filed by Bartz and Concord Music, when things were going very badly in the former case.
It will be interesting to see how Judge Lee rules. My guess is she may allow it.
