Joseph Saveri law firm files response to Sur-reply of Authors Guild Plaintiffs Opposing Tremblay Plaintiffs’ motion to intervene, dismiss, stay, or transfer actions

There is a turf battle between the Tremblay plaintiffs, who filed their copyright lawsuit in the Northern District of California, and the Authors Guild and Alter plaintiffs, who filed their copyright lawsuit in the Southern District of New York.

The Tremblay plaintiffs, represented by the Joseph Saveri law firm, wants to intervene in the Authors Guild lawsuit in the Southern District of New York and have the case dismissed, stayed, or transferred to the Northern District of California. This motion is apparently sought to vie for the appointment of the class counsel to the class action lawsuit. A lot is at stake.

Filing a Sur-reply and filing a Reply to the Sur-reply are unusual. Wonder how Judge Stein will rule.
