Pres. Trump secures agreement from AI companies for “tremendous self-regulation” and addressing Americans’ concerns about data centers
In addition to launching a new AI-powered government website at America.gov, President Trump held a meeting at the White House with 20 of the top AI executives.
““There’s a belief that there should be tremendous self-regulation, and we automatically have regulation with the Department of Justice, the FBI, all of that,” Trump stated.
The AI companies signed an agreement for “tremendous self-regulation” that is “morally binding.” The text of the agreement is at the end below.

President Trump said the tech executives are going to work with local communities on data centers.
President Donald Trump praised the “brilliant people” behind America.gov, saying the AI-powered platform is part of an industry that some claim could become bigger than the Industrial Revolution. “We have a very big lead and we’re going to keep our lead, and it’s a very positive thing. It’s an amazing industry,” Trump said on Tuesday. “There are those that say it’s bigger than the Industrial Revolution. Now, I don’t know if that’s so, but everyone seems to think it is and it could be substantially bigger. And we’re leading and we’re going to keep it that way,” he added.
