Well, there’s finally one more settlement in the AI copyright litigation, now numbering 145 lawsuits.
This one involves Alcon Entertainment’s copyright suit against Warner Brothers Discovery for the alleged infringement by Elon Musk and Tesla in using what allegedly was a substantially similar scene to a scene from Blade Runner 2049.
Warner Brothers Discovery and plaintiff Alcon Entertainment are asking Judge Wu to dismiss the case with prejudice but retain jurisdiction over the settlement. The case against Musk and Tesla continues.
