Various authors and publishers who opted out of the Bartz v. Anthropic case settlement will get their day in court. But it won’t come until 2028.
Judge Pitts just set the scheduling order, with a trial not until 2028. Summary judgment motions are due on May 13, 2027 for non-expert summary judgment motions and on Aug. 26, 2027 for expert-based summary judgment motions and Daubert motions.
