Judge Chhabria grants Meta additional discovery re: Kadrey’s contributory infringement claim in FACC

Judge Chhabria just granted Meta’s request for additional discovery related to the new claim for contributory infringement that the Kadrey book authors added in their First Amended Consolidated Complaint.

The order states: “Meta’s motion for leave to serve discovery is granted. From the materials submitted by the parties (including the sample RFPs and interrogatories), Meta’s proposed discovery requests appear reasonable. If any particular requests are especially burdensome or greatly exceed the scope of the samples, the plaintiffs are free to make a more specific objection.”
