Wall Street Journal has a fascinating article on musician will.i.am. He’s an AI Professor at Arizona State University, who taught a course on “The Agentic Self.”
It’s “a 16-week course in which … students learned to create their own AI agents, digital assistants that complete tasks on their own.” Here’s an interview with CNBC Squawkbox in which he explained the course:
Not surprisingly, will.i.am’s class was oversubscribed, with over 100 students.
will.i.am foresees a world in which AI agents are creating music on their own but he hopes human will be the value in that world: “We will get to a point [where] human-made, that’s the value.”
