THE CLAUDE EFFECT. OpenAI pulls the plug on video generator Sora. No more video generation.
According to the Wall Street Journal, “CEO Sam Altman announced the changes to staff on Tuesday, writing that the company would wind down products that use its video models. In addition to the consumer app, OpenAI is also discontinuing a version of Sora for developers and won’t support video functionality inside ChatGPT, either.”
Bye bye Sora.
Anthropic has laid down the market for AI startups. OpenAI is regrouping and refocusing its business model from the kitchen sink approach to focus more on enterprise.
