Sam Altman and Elon Musk got into a testy exchange on X over OpenAI’s conversion from non-profit to public benefit corporation.
Musk, who was one of the early backers of OpenAI, is embroiled in a contentious lawsuit against Sam Altman and OpenAI, contesting the conversion.
Over the weekend, the two got into a really testy exchange.
Presumably, both Altman and Musk will be deposed in the lawsuit. Should make for good theater.
The lawsuit has already produced fireworks with revelations by OpenAI co-founder Ilya Sutskever, who had some unflattering views of Altman that led to his short-term firing from OpenAI:
