Pres. Trump cites calls from Salesforce’s Benioff, NVIDIA’s Huang as reason for not sending troops into SF

President Trump said he received calls from Salesforce’s Marc Benioff, NVIDIA’s Jensen Huang, and other “friends” as the reason why he decided against sending troops into San Francisco. UPDATE: WSJ reported that Sam Altman also called the President. According to WSJ, “[Huang] called Trump Wednesday, gave him Lurie’s phone number and told him the mayor was eager to explain what he was doing to improve public safety and the business environment in San Francisco.”

This will likely take some of the heat off Benioff, who originally enthusiastically called for Trump to send troops into SF.
