All eyes will be on the docket in Bartz v. Anthropic to see if the parties’ motions on proposed settlement will be unsealed and open for public scrutiny.
Taking a wild guess is I think the proposed settlement will be worth at least $1 billion or more. That number is just speculating, though.

I think a billion is a reasonable guess. One question I have is what portion is earmarked as a license and what portion is earmarked as damages. If I’m Anthropic, I want a bigger portion to be a license so others will have to pay the same amount and they are not at a financial disadvantage.
At some point that will have to make the details public to inform the class.
