Despite Judge Wu’s recommendation that the parties settle this lawsuit, Elon Musk, Tesla, and Alcon Entertainment reported their failure to settle the copyright claim against Musk and Tesla for allegedly using a substantially similar image drawn from the Blade Runner 2049 movie after the two were unable to license an image from the movie.
So, the copyright lawsuit against Musk and Tesla shall proceed. With everything swirling around Musk and Tesla, this lawsuit might be low priority for them.
