Meta becomes first US company sued for copyright infringement based on AI training. Which US company will be next?

National Publishing Union (SNE), the National Union of Authors and Composers (SNAC), and the Society of Men of Letters (SGDL) filed a copyright lawsuit in a Paris court against Meta.

The lawsuit is based on alleged copyright infringement in Meta’s training of its AI model, Llama, with copyrighted content without permission of French authors.
