Judge Lee held a case management hearing on Dec. 18 in the In re Google Generative AI Litigation (formerly Zhang v. Google and J.L. v. Google).
Here’s the note on the docket: “Initial Case Management Conference held on 12/18/2024. Case management and scheduling order to issue. Written order to issue regarding 80 Plaintiffs’ unopposed request to appoint interim class counsel.Total Time in Court: 2:03pm – 2:54pm (51 minutes).”
Since the motion to appoint interim class counsel was unopposed, presumably that means the Joseph Saveri Law Firm will be so appointed. But the note above doesn’t say one way or the other. The Judge’s order will be forthcoming.
