David Boies firm asks to be interim lead counsel, with Lieff Cabraser assisting in consolidated cases before Judge Chhabria

The law firms of Boies Schiller Flexner and Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein LLP submitted a letter in the Kadrey v. Meta and Farnsworth v. Meta lawsuits asking Judge Chhabria to consolidate the two requested class action lawsuits brought by book authors against Meta Platforms.

In their letter, David Boies’s firm states that the two law firms agree that the Boies firm should be the interim lead counsel and Lieff Cabrasser assisting as additional counsel. They further state: “Both [law firms] BSF and LCHB are committed to bringing their class-action experience, and specific experience in the intersection of copyright and evolving technologies, to this case.”
