One response to “OpenAI valued at $157 billion in $6.6B funding round”

  1. “apple chose not to join” despite partnering with them (out of short-term necessity) is signaling that in a few years they’ll cannibalize them, leveraging their market dominance. where do you still find genuine conversation? imessage. where do you still find genuine photos? iphone camera roll. where do you still find genuine art? on devices preferentially used by digital artists: ipads, macbooks, imacs, and with everything in-house they continue to claim to be privacy-focused just as they’ve already done in other segments. people will say “apple trains on your data!” and the reply will be “at least it’s *only* apple, i get to control what they train on, and i trust them to make things secure and not sell it to other companies”
