Judge Breyer granted the Joseph Saveri Law Firm’s motion to declare the later-filed case of Makkai v. Databricks a related case to the earlier filed case of O’Nan v. Databricks over which Judge Breyer presides.
Almost immediately, Makkai v. Databricks was resassigned from Judge Whyte in San Jose to Judge Breyer in San Francisco. We can expect to see a motion to consolidate the second case with the first filed one.
It is surprising we haven’t seen the same thing yet in Dubus v. NVIDIA and Nazemian v. NVIDIA, but that might be on the way.
