Judge MARTÍNEZ-OLGUÍN denied the request of the Joseph Saveri Law Firm to be appointed interim lead class counsel for the plaintiffs in the In re OpenAI ChatGPT Litigation.
The Judge found no reason to depart from the typical procedure of appointing the class counsel after the decision to certify the case as a class action under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 23.
“Plaintiffs do not explain why the Court should depart from the norm and appoint class counsel prior to class certification,” ruled the Court.
