AI is developing so fast, it’s hard to keep pace with all the development. Out of San Francisco come reports that Adobe is in discussion with OpenAI to possibly add AI tools, such as text-to-video generator Sora, to Premiere Pro.
Adobe is reportedly having similar talks with Runway and Pika Labs, two AI startups.
Adobe already has its own generative AI model called Firefly, which can be used in Photoshop. Adobe can under some criticism for touting its model as “commercially safe” and based on licensed images, even though, according to Bloomberg, the model also was trained on “a relatively small amount — about 5% — of the images used to train its AI tool was generated by other AI platforms.”
