Here’s the latest status report of the copyright lawsuits against AI companies as of March 15, 2024.
We have two new lawsuits brought by three book authors (Stewart O’Nan, Abdi Nazemian, and Brian Keene), one against Nvidia and the other against Mosaic ML and Databricks. That brings the total copyright lawsuits filed against AI companies in the United States to 20. The Joseph Saveri Law Firm has filed 7 of these lawsuits, including these two.
We corrected the list to include the remaining portion of Huckabee’s lawsuit against Bloomberg in the Southern District of New York (the California part against Meta and Microsoft that was transferred is the part voluntarily dismissed without prejudice).
