Anthropic filed its reply brief in support of its motion to stay the recently filed lawsuit of Concord Music Group v. Anthropic II.
The hearing for summary judgment in Concord Music Group v. Anthropic I is set for July 15.
Concord Music II involves claims related to Anthropic’s alleged torrenting of files, including parts of plaintiffs’ lyrics, from shadow libraries. Judge Lee had denied Concord Music’s motion for leave to add such a claim to the original case. But, eventually, Concord Music filed a second lawsuit alleging that claim. Because the second case was related to the first, it was reassigned to Judge Lee.
Hearing on the stay motion is set for May 20.
