Gracenote Media Services, the metadata company owned by Nielsen, sued OpenAI for alleged copyright infringement.
This is copyright lawsuit no. 90 in the United States against AI companies.
Lawyers for Gracenote filed an affirmation that this case is related to the In re OpenAI Copyright Infringement Litigation in the Multi District Litigation court. Expect it to be transferred there, where it will likely be stayed, given discovery is nearing its end in the proceedings before the MDL court.
