Copyright AI epidemic: Lawsuits flood US courts as number grows to 72

Ted Entertainment et al., creators of YouTube videos, added to the recent barrage of copyright lawsuits against AI companies. In the past few weeks, 5 new lawsuits have been filed.

Today, in 2 different suits in the Northern District of California, Ted Entertainment sued Bytedance, parent to TikTok, and Meta. This is the 3rd lawsuit filed by Ted Entertainment — the first against NVIDIA.

These new lawsuits raise the total number of copyright suits related to AI companies to 72.

And there’s still a decent chance we eclipse 75 before New Year’s.
